Dear Geoff, you were the one person in Steyning we always met up with for a pint whenever we visited our old home town to stay with our mother in Bank Passage and also in more recent times.
In the early 1960´s when Jonathan was still at the Primary School and I had just started at Steyning Grammar we often took a country walk with you on a Sunday, down Mouse Lane and up onto the Downs. You had your little dog with you and you stimulated our interest in nature with your great knowledge of plants, birds and animals.
You came directly from national service abroad with the RAF and into the family electrical business, Turner Keen Ltd, to work with our father, Ricky Turner, and our mother, Pamela Turner. it was a business that you took over after our father´s retirement in the late 1980´s.
We attended your wedding to dear Marjorie and still have the Kodachrome slides taken on a Brownie camera.
You have been like an extended member of our family Geoff for over 60 years and we feel a great sense of sorrow and loss.
Our thoughts go to your boys and other members of your family during this sad time.
Jeremy and Jonathan Turner
